Our Mission

At Active Institute, our mission is to provide a caring and secure learning environment in which our students can learn, achieve, and succeed. We inspire our students to discover their intellectual potential by ensuring that their skills and qualifications are recognized and respected both nationally and internationally.

Active Institute is located near the Manukau City Centre, the major shopping and administrative centre in South Auckland. The area is serviced by public transport, and a motorway system that provides access throughout the Auckland metropolitan area.

The Institute has had a presence in the area since 1988, its class sizes are limited (12-15) and English Second Language students have the added advantage of sharing the Institute with local students, who come from a truly cosmopolitan background. The Institute's Mission Statement includes the principle of 'Unity in Diversity', that is, the need for the recognition of, and respect for, different cultural backgrounds as being essential elements in assisting students to realize their full potential.
